These Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) apply to all bookings, inquiries, and services provided through the Lapland Cottages website. By making a reservation or contacting us, you agree to these terms.

1. Booking & Payment

Bookings are made online through our website or via direct contact. A full or partial payment may be required to confirm your reservation, depending on the property.
 

Payments are processed securely through third-party providers such as Stripe. We do not store or have access to your credit card details.
All prices include VAT unless otherwise stated.
 

Once payment is completed, you will receive a confirmation email with all the essential booking details.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation terms vary by property and will always be clearly stated before you complete your booking.

If you need to cancel:

    •    Please contact us as soon as possible.
    •    Refunds (full or partial) are issued according to the cancellation policy of the specific property.
 

Some bookings become non-refundable after confirmation, this will always be stated in advance. If you do not arrive for your stay (no-show), the booking is considered non-refundable unless otherwise specified.

3. Guest Responsibility

By booking a cottage, you agree to:

    •    Provide accurate personal details
    •    Treat the property and its surroundings with care
    •    Follow house rules (which may vary by property)
    •    Be responsible for any damages caused during your stay (excluding normal wear and tear)


Lapland Cottages is not liable for accidents, injuries, or losses due to misuse of the property or facilities. You must ensure that all guests in your group comply with local regulations (e.g., quiet hours, fire safety, sauna usage rules).

4. Property Descriptions

We aim to provide accurate descriptions and photos. However, minor differences may occur due to seasonal changes, renovations, or updates by the property owner.


If something is not as expected, please contact us immediately — we will do our best to help.
 

Check-in and check-out times vary by property. These will be provided in your confirmation email.

Early check-in or late check-out may be possible upon request but cannot be guaranteed.

5. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations, delays, or service interruptions caused by events beyond our control, including:

    •    weather conditions
    •    transportation delays
    •    government restrictions
    •    natural disasters
 

In such cases, we will try to offer alternative arrangements whenever possible.

6. Data & Privacy

We collect and process personal data according to our Privacy Policy, which complies with GDPR.
 

By booking or submitting a form, you consent to the use of your personal data for:

    •    handling your reservation
    •    customer communication
    •    legal requirements
 

We never sell your data to third parties.

7. Changes to These Terms

Lapland Cottages reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version posted on the website at the time of booking applies.

8. Weather & Conditions

Lapland weather can be extreme. Roads, paths, lakes and outdoor areas may be icy, snowy, or slippery.

Guests are responsible for their personal safety when moving around the property.

9. Property Use

Most cottages include sauna access. Always follow the owner’s safety guidelines.

Outdoor fires, grills or hot tubs may have restrictions depending on the season or fire-safety regulations.
